Abstract: The home security system is a crucial issue and home security has been evolving our project aims to bring it down to the next step. Besides advancements in technology, it also enables users for safety to prevent from major disasters occurring in the resident area. IOT BASED HOME AUTOMATION AND FIRE DETECTION helps to evolve the security of a home by using the Internet of things (IOT) and the security of the home by using an image processing system to unlock the door of a home also enable high security. YOLO (You Only Look Once) is used for the image detection as it is a promising solution for image detection. It also helps to secure the life of life stocks and the people inside a home through the fire detection system which is active during fire breakage by giving alerts to the people. Raspberry pi is used as a major hardware component which is a mini computer along with the Raspberry Pi relay module connected which is used for switching purposes and works in both AC & DC. Node MCU is connected to Raspberry Pi which enables the Wi-Fi module & IOT system to connect with the local Network. Through which the owner is notified during security problems. We believe that the research carried out during the project shall be invaluable for people who want to secure their homes and property using home automation.
