Abstract: In an underdeveloped country like Nepal, Bridge building process is affected by various economic, geographic, technical and social factors. The primary focus remains on economy rather than the aesthetic and architectural discoveries. Lack of proper road network access in overall country has demanded highly qualified bridge engineers and need of construction of extensive amount of road bridges throughout the country. Project works are essential to equip the students with skills required to synthesize comprehensively the knowledge gained during course work for a practical application of civil engineering discipline in real life. Besides the objective of this project as to acquire the motive of partial fulfillment of acquiring Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, we believe that we have acquired extensive skills, ideas and motivation for conducting solution of any Civil Engineering problem. The undertaken group project “DETAIL DESIGN AND ANALYSIS OF RCC-ARCH BRIDGE” is a double lane local road bridge with total span of 25m. The structure consists of double span and two foundations. The structure has been idealized, analyzed and designed according to standard practice of building local bridges protocols strictly incorporating IRC code provisions. The analysis of super structural members has been done for two basic load combinations, viz. dead load and live load (IRC Class A and IRC 70R Loadings) along with its impact effect. Seismic load combinations, braking effect have been considered for sub- structural members. The detailed analysis, design and rebar detailing have been accomplished following the IRC recommendation and provisions for Reinforced concrete bridges. Finally, the reports have been published in two parts one contains the main report and other contains the detailed structural drawings.
