Abstract: This study is need of Bus Terminal for facilitating the Vehicles that travels to eastern part of country. Since the developing valley have only one Bus Terminal at the moment. So keep the momentum of Bus and its use in the daily life of the people experiencing the Bus another Bus terminal in valley is my main objective. Main methods to be discussed to this place is to feel the importance of transportation from one place to another place. And method that includes presenting this study and design as per the problem. Problem identification came from the eradication of Purano Bus Park from Ratnapark and overload that Gongabu Bus Park is facing and problem for those vehicles that travels from the eastern part of nation. Different visits on Depart of Transportation, Traffic Headquarters and small offices that runs different private firms that are running Vehicles in different places of Nation. Bus terminal shows the economic situation if the nation and state. Since it denote the management of movement equals to economic activities of the nation. It is said if there is more movement there is more economic activities seen. So the Bus terminal is supportive infrastructure of nation that helps in economic development. Now in this report of thesis there mainly the topic under why the bus terminal is needed in Kathmandu valley. Main need of Bus Terminal is seen to be managed through transit point of the valley that most of the bus travel that’s why the Jagati as site is choose. Some design guideline to develop and design the Bus terminal which can be said as the Literature review. And the National case studies of two cities Pokhara and Kathmandu. International case study that can mainly contextual from India Chennai Mofussil Bus Terminal (CMBT) and new approach to the Bus terminal from Philippines Paranaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX). And some comparative analysis done between the Case studies. Lastly Programs and Functions with their estimated area can be found in this report. Hence we can feel the Need of Bus terminal in upcoming decades in the Kathmandu valley as Urbanization is increasing in huge amount. So most of the population of City still hope to have a bus as transportation medium sine Nepal’s GDP is less to effort their own private vehicles only option is Bus. And also if this study helps out in management of traffic inside Urban, Main bus park space for the those vehicles who have no facilities mainly in present context vehicles that travels east, Hope this study would help in future as well.
