Abstract: Waste Recovery Centre accepts the reusable waste from different organization, institution and offices and turn the waste into new material or the same valuable material. The relationship between architecture, waste and sustainable development is inter-related. Today, the production and consumption of goods and foods are the most extensive in human history and the waste generation continues to increase with growth in consumption. The issue of the waste management has been challenging to the sustainable development of the every developing and developed cities. The architecture here attempts to promote the dialog between public and the waste management process and offer opportunities to create a more healthy and integrated community. Waste Recovery Centre is not just only a waste recycling and upcycling factory, it is a space which helps to bridge the gap between waste and public through merging of architecture and landscape. The centre deliberates how waste can be turned into a valuable materials and trash of one will be useful raw materials to another. It recovers the certain amount of trash through upcycling and recycling to increase its value which would otherwise end up in landfill site. The project is a synergy of research and knowledge-based aspects of eco-innovation with its practical implementation hoping to bring sustainability in development of the city. The core challenge of the project was to ensure the feasibility of unconventional function such as recycling upcycling facility, eco-innovation and eco-research centre amongst others within the context of a developing city. Though this project has attempted to incorporate sustainability design principle in architecture and bring change in people's behaviour which would encourage in reusing, recycling and reducing waste in future.
