Abstract: | Baud-Bovy (1998), a resort is essentially a place developed for the sojourn of tourists, providing multiple facilities for their accommodation, recreation, entertainment, rest and other needs. This report consists of research on design related to resort, from program formulation, site selection, case studies, literature reviews, research, and design. The project will try to incorporate all the necessary facilities and amenities. With a change of time, the meaning of resort has changed and now it has been a commercial form of making money. Resort, proposed here, is also a commercial resort, which provides hospitality to both internal as well as external tourism as it cannot depend wholly on foreigners, as there is seasonal variance in incoming tourists. However, my concern is to incorporate vernacular architecture of the native and will help in its promotion. This resort will be a place to experience the smoothing nature in its manmade form form providing a safe adventure and recreational environment. This resort will primarily focus on domestic and foreign tourism. The design will be presented in the of Introduction, Literature, Case studies, Concept, Design development, and Architectural drawings, 3ds and Models. |
