dc.description.abstractThe construction industry is a crucial contributor to global economic development, with the demand for sustainable and efficient building materials growing rapidly. This thesis explores the role of construction material and training hub in promoting sustainable construction practices and developing the skills of construction industry professionals. The research begins with an exploration of the challenges faced by the construction industry, including material procurement, storage, and distribution inefficiencies, as well as the need for continuous skills development and training. It emphasizes the significance of an integrated construction material hub in addressing these challenges and proposes a conceptual framework for its architectural design. The study examines the design and operational strategies of existing construction material and training hub, analyzing their effectiveness in promoting sustainable construction practices and disseminating knowledge among construction professionals. It also investigates the challenges and opportunities for the establishment of new construction material and training hubs in different regions. The research methodology involved a thorough literature review, case studies of existing construction material and training hubs, and qualitative interviews with construction industry professionals and stakeholders. The report provides detailed insights into each architectural consideration, highlighting the importance of strategic location and accessibility for efficient operations and easy access for industry professionals. It emphasizes the need for a well-planned site layout that incorporates storage areas for different construction materials, training spaces, and appropriate circulation paths for seamless material handling and movement of trainees.
