Abstract: For the thesis of Architectural Bachelor program ,I have chosen envisaged centering of Transport Management offfice as my thesis topic.Transport management office is office where entire function related to the transport is carried out..Based on the Act,Dotm is responsible for the overall management of transport services, transport policy formulation, transport planning ,management and regulations,To determine routes and fares for public motor vehicles. To issue driver and conductor license.Registration, renewal and title transfer of vehicles, collections of vehicle tax vehicular test(trial),written examination,Issuing route permits.etc Currently there are different transport office that work for providing different transport related work ,services as mentioned above functions are in scattered form and in unmanaged condition regardless of their common sharing functions. As we all know transport management office in kathmandu valley are located in different corner of the city.people have to visit different offices in order to get same nature of transport related services.Nevertheless supporting activities of offices area also not placed in closed proximity.Due to which service seeker have to suffer a lot losing both time and money in travelling..In addition to most of the building are adopted or conducted by leasing of the land which results in lack of comfort, insufficient space, unclear circulation and unmanaged environment. Centering of transport mangement office that is proposed as the thesis project would accomodate all the services related to transport at one place. The research begins with an exploration of the current challenges and complexities associated with transportation management, and data integration. It emphasizes the critical role of an efficient TMO in addressing these challenges and proposes a conceptual framework for its design. The methodology employed combines extensive literature review, case studies of existing TMOs, to identify key architectural considerations. These considerations encompass location and accessibility, site planning, functional spaces, security measures, technology integration, sustainability, and aesthetics. This thesis report presents a comprehensive analysis and design proposal for a Transport Management Office (TMO) aimed at enhancing transportation management efficiency. The study addresses the need for a centralized administrative hub to facilitate the coordination, monitoring, and optimization of transportation activities. Overall, this thesis report provides a comprehensive analysis of the architectural requirements for a Transport Management Office, offering valuable insights and a design proposal that can serve as a roadmap for stakeholders seeking to establish an efficient and effective TMO.
