Art hub in Nepal has failed to link the interaction between art and public; not well equipped, lack infrastructures and programs to form a complete art hub. Aim of an art hub is to provide people living in previously disadvantaged areas the opportunity to further their interests and knowledge in the arts, improve their level of individual skills, and develop their creative abilities. The proposal is based on the desire to create a SPACE for artist and the community that provides optimum conditions and facilities. The art hub has direct/ indirect positive effects on the community. It acts as a communal hub for people who focus on creative arts to express their visions and ideas with others of same or different field so the core concept of art hub is to connect, spread and develop arts practice especially in the field of creative arts which will in itself address the art scenario in Nepal. The first chapter indicates an introduction to the subject matter i.e., describing what a art hub is and exploring the vision, goals, mission, and objectives of the project. It includes the philosophy followed by such centers around the world and how they are relevant in the context of our own country. Chapter two explores the research and study of the need and requirements of such establishments or literature reviews. This will add on to a better understanding of practical and acceptable characteristics of the elements of art hub. This also includes various design strategies and ideas that are needed in a art hub. Chapter three is dedicated to various national and international case studies for an in-depth understanding of the project. This helps in giving a brief idea of the space sizes and requirements, helps to know what should and should not be done, and overall proposes a brief for design starting points. Chapter four includes the choice of site for the design with its detailed analysis required for design decisions. Chapter Five summarizes all the information collected from the previous chapter and gives a tabulated program to carry out the design. Chapter seven is the main body that covers the design process from concept development to design development compiling all deliverables required for a complete project. So, the project is an approach in designing a hub with all the functional and creative spaces for people to connect, spread and develop art.en_US
