Abstract: The Tribhuvan University’s final-year project for B.E. Civil Engineering students is an essential tool for comprehending the real-world problems that one encounters in practical applications. The project is the result of the conceptual understanding we have accumulated over the course of this many years of study, with the assistance of our supervisor ,the Civil Department and the entire Khwopa College of engineering. In accordance with our area of interest, we undertook the project “Structural Analysis and Design of Commercial Building.” For the design of this project limit state method is adopted. By which the building being designed is assessed against flexural failure, shear failure, compression, torsion and combination of these stresses. The structures are subjected to static loads such as dead load, live load and dynamic loads such as seismic load. Due to the above mentioned loads and their combinations different stresses are induced in the structures. And further more during load transfer, internal forces like axial forces, shear forces, bending and torsional moments are induced. The structure has to be designed against the safety above mentioned stresses and forces. We sincerely welcome any feedback you may have that might help the project.
